I received a comment from someone I love VERY dearly, that I do not showcase Chelsea as much as I do Michael. So, here I will be dedicating an ENTIRE post to this sweet little girl. Chelsea is very unique. We can tell she is quite intelligent in one moment, but in the next, we are beginning to wonder. She just gets so spacey! So far in primary she has been assigned two talks and a scripture. The first talk she memorized and was so proud of herself (not to mention the pride beaming from her parents) that she now likes to memorize her assignments so she doesn't have to have any help.
This past Sunday she delivered her second talk. This one was more difficult for her to learn, but she did it. She only needed one little prompt, but the rest she did on her own. We actually took a few takes of this talk, but I like this one the best because of the many times she drifts off into "La La" land. At one point I have to coax her back to reality. Oh, and don't be alarmed by the buzzing sound at the end of the video. It's not a gigantic bumble bee, just Dan brushing his teeth with his electric tooth brush. (He's going to be a great dentist!)
** Warning: This video is quite long and only meant for the diehard Perry Party Fan!***
We are also pleased to announce that Chelsea has completed the first level of the "Mozart Mouse" piano method series. We will be going out for ice-cream tonight to celebrate. We wanted to share this joyous occasion with you as Chelsea performs "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" for your own personal recital.
Chelsea's favorite thing is still babies. She loves it when we babysit babies or even just watch you tube movies about babies. She is always coming up with names for our next babies (aka her broters/sisters) and can't wait for them to arrive. (This is NOT an announcement) She will be quite the mother one day.
She also loves to wear skirts...but I struggle to find any that I think are appropriate. She got a little white skirt to wear to her Aunt Jennifer's wedding last year and she would wear that thing everyday if she could. Unfortunately, I still have to go to a community laundry room, so I'm not willing to wash it EVERY night. :)
My favorite thing she says when I tell her I love her is "Mommy, I'm going to live right next to you forever and be your neighbor. Then we can play all day together." I hope this comes true because I love my girl SO much. Thanks Chelsea for being my sweet, beautiful, baby girl. I love you!

What?! ANOTHER cavity?!

Does this picture scare you? Are you thinking to yourself..."What does that poor, POOR man have on his face?" Well, you should, because these things are awful. They're called "rubber dams" and they are the worst part of going to see Dan at the dental school. My teeth have very close "contacts", meaning my teeth are very close together, so it's hard to get the stupid thing inbetween my teeth. On the other hand, Dan loves them because theykeep the tongue and spit away from where he is trying to work, and helps keep the teeth dry. Unfortunately, the drool is now slathered accross your face, hiding beneath the dam, but you can't do anything because how in the heck are you supposed to talk with that thing in your mouth! Dentists don't really need them because they have hygenists (sp?) there with the suction thing to catch everything. Oh, did you know that when they say "Debris" they really mean blood?
Anyway, Dan has been doing a lot of work on me lately. I even have bling in my mouth now! Dan needed to fill some gold requirements, so why not put the money in my mouth? Hopefully you can't see it unless I show it to you. :) I kept meaning to bring my camera in to take pictures of this "dam" device (pun INTENDED). I was so mad when I went yesterday to my last appointment and realized I had forgotten it. But, lucky for me, another "huge" cavity has popped up and I get to go back! And even better, now I get to be one of Dan's patients for his board exam! LUCKY ME! :)
I know I sound really bitter, but it actually is all turning out okay. Because we're getting it done at the school, the cost of the dental work is half off, and Dan gets more requirements done. He does a great job and to be honest, I usually fall asleep whil he's working on me. Now, who's next in line?

My stud of a brother...
So I haven't posted in a while because I had nothign to post! Michael and I got sick over the weekend, and well, they just haven't been very cute lately! (just kidding)My kids are ALWAYS cute. ;-) My dad sent me a link to his picasa web album and I there I found pictures of my awesome little brother, Evan. I hope they don't mind that I am posting them on my blog, but he has to be showcased. It just must be done! He is a crazy smart kid. (Not to mention how good looking he is!) He is very interested in foreign affairs and told me he would LOVE to be an ambassador one day. Throughout this whole campaign he has been rooting for Ron Paul. And like you could probaby guess, this makes him part of the minority in his highschool of 2, 682! He had a sign up in the yard but I believe it came down (I've heard different stories about WHY it came down) so he put a sign on the roof of his car. This is what he found one day when he got out of school. Love this kid!

Happy Valentines Day!
Man Tag
My friend Emily tagged me….perfect timing for Valentines day! Thanks!
What is his full name? Daniel Stewart Perry
How long have you been married? 6 years this past December.
How long did you date? We dated three and a half months and were engaged for 2 months.
Who eats more sweets? Hmm, that’s a tough one since we both eat TONS of sweets, but I probably tip the scale a tad with my bags of chocolate covered pretzels. (YUM!)
Who said I love you first? I did, but he said it the next night. I was really glad he didn’t say it right after I did, but when he was ready.
How old is he? 29
Who is taller? He is.
Who is smarter? He is, sadly, by far!
Who can sing better? I think he has an amazing voice, but he thinks it’s awful, so he hardly EVER sings, even for me. So, I guess I’ll say me.
Who does the laundry? Me. But he often surprises me by getting it done.
Who pays the bills? I do. I love feeling like a secretary, and he’s just too busy to worry about getting them paid on time.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does. It’s closest to the alarm clock… and he always gets up first…at least during the week.
Who mows the lawn? Dan usually does, but I like to do it occasionally. I’ve always thought mowing was fun.
Who cooks dinner? I do.
Who drives? He does when we’re together.
Who is more stubborn? Him.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me.
Who asked who out? I did. It’s kind of a tacky story. I was too shy to come straight out and ask him out, so I asked him to do me a favor. My friend really needed someone to double with, so I asked him if he would mine hanging out with us. (I know, SO stupid. He makes fun of me now. Luckily he asked me out next!)
Who has more siblings? I do. I have 6 and he has 4.
Who wears the pants? I like him too But I think we consult each other and get each other’s opinion enough, that it never gets too one sided.
I tag Abra, Michelle, Katherine, Katie P., Katie H., Tami, Tawna, Becky, and Jennifer. (Lol, there's not really a limit, is there!?)

Well, we had a pretty dissapointing weekend. We made it up to Dan's parents house on Thursday night, and we're all packed and ready to leave on Friday afternoon when Melissa came home from school. We called to check on the Snoqualmie pass weather report just to be sure that we could get through. They've received 9 feet of snow in the last week and had been closed off and on for avalanche control. To our EXTREME dissapointment, they had just closed it down and it wouldn't be open until sometime Saturday evening. Our trip was canceled. I was actually pretty suprised at how bummed I was. Now, we have to wait another month before we can try again, due to my work and Dan's patients. ARGH! At least we didn't drive up there and then have to turn around, or get stuck in this nasty mess:

But there was one thing to help cheer me up! My sister-in-law, Melissa, found some hillarious videos on you tube, of babies laughing. Hopefully I can get them on here, but if not, you'll HAVE to check out the links. They are the funniest things ever! And if you are having a bad day, I hope this helps to cheer you up. It sure helped with me!
I love how babies find such humor in everyday things. Who knew a magazine could be so funny?!
The first baby in this clip is my favorite. It's the type of laugh that you just know his stomach muscles are crying out in pain! But all three are hysterical!

Did someone say Grandma's house?!
One of the best things about living in Portland is that we are only a 2 hour's drive to Grandma and Grandpa Perry's house. The kids LOVE their Gamma and Gampa. And who can forget Aunt Melissa?! Melissa is still young enough to keep up with they're energy level by chasing them around and wrestling with them. However, we're learning that we can't tell them where we are going, or even mention their names, or else this is what we will hear all day:
I think it's funny how frustrated Michael was when I was trying to film Chelsea about why she loves Grandma's house so much when he said "MMOOOOOOMMM! GRANPAS!" But who can blame them? Our last trip up they got to sleep in the big beds in the bonus room all by themselves, and the toys! OH, the TOYS! :) There is also plenty of room to run around. And when it's time to make cookies, you can bet there are 4 helping hands ready to....well, lets just be honest...snitch the dough!

Poor Chelsea, turned on the hot water faucet (the one used for instant hot water for hot cocoa) instead of the normal faucet when she was asked to get her hands washed. It wasn't hot enough to cause any dammage, but it hurt her enough that she couldn't help mix the cookies.
Luckily the pain went away soon enough so she could at least have a taste of the blonde-brownie goodness.

We're headed back up to Grandma's and Grandpa's house again tomorrow. They are so kind to watch the kiddos while we continue on to Spokane to meet with a dental broker and check out the area. Chelsea is extremely excited, because its her turn to take the preschool class pet, a stuffed-dog, Jeb, home and THIS time he gets to go on a trip to Grandma's house. What fun!

The love of a sibling....
This may gross some people out, but I have serious kissing issues. I love kissing my kids! Who can resist those cute cheeks and dimpled hands?! Not me! Michael is a fantastic kisser! Check out his pucker! I also love how he touches his cheek after Chelsea kisses it. I love my babies! (Please try to ignore my talking...I'm embarassed at how much baby-talk I do...seriously, Trisa, GROW UP!)
