Why is it so adorable when babies find their thumbs?





or cry?


or do "their business"?

or have multiple chins?

and especially when they kind-of-smile, revealing an adorable little dimple in the left cheek?

I don't know, but this little one has stolen my heart!

Swimming lessons

I put the kids in swimming lessons for two, two-week sessions. Chelsea loved it and improved a ton!

Michael, on the other hand, was a complete pain in the neck.
Don't let that cute face fool you. He was a real headache! The first session he would go with some hesitation, but as soon as he was in the water, he had a great time!

His favorite day was when they got to go to the "big" pool and wear life jackets. AND they got to go off the jumping board! Most of the kids had to be lowered into the pool by one lifeguard to another. NOT michael! He ran and jumped in!

But for some reason, the next session was a nightmare. He'd be all excited to go, but the minute he was showered and I took him to his class, he'd shy away and hide behind me. I tried to just make the lifeguards take him, screaming and kicking, but then it turned into a tantrum (a mom knows when her kid is fake-crying), and that is just unacceptable. So, I'd go fetch him and make him sit on the bleachers. Then he'd cry because he wanted to go swim. Some days I'd let him try again, but the same thing happened over and over. We became quite the spectacle. the last week of swim lessons I didn't even try. We just sat on the bleachers and watched Chelsea...while Michael whined that he wasn't with his class. Any suggestions for the kid? HELP!

We're baaccck! And Brinly's blessing day

So, I finally found out that there is an "Edit Html" tab and a "Compose" tab. I've always used the "Edit HTML tab". What a pain! But now I can change font and colors and size of text on my blog. I can even SEE the pictures while I edit. SOOooo much easier! I feel so stupid...

oh well, better late than never!

The internet is up and running, we are back from vacations, and so now we need to update the blog!

First up: Brinly's blessing day!




We blessed Brinly Ann on August 2nd, in our ward.

Mom, Dad, and Melissa Perry drove down for the special event.

My Parent's weren't able to make it, but my mom did pick out the dress. I think she did a fabulous job and Brinly looked so beautiful in it!




I was hoping to get some GREAT pictures of her, but she wasn't very cooperative and kept yawning.



apparently, we're not a very exciting family...




and the lighting just wasn't great. I plan on getting some pictures done at JCpenney's next week to preserve my memory of this beautiful girl in her beautiful blessing dress!

The internet won't be connected until WHEN ?!

Just a quick update...

WE are LOVING our new house! WE had tons of help to move our few belongings and were done in one hour..total. well...I'm still unpacking, but the big stuff was moved.

WE have already learned several lessons being new home-owners:
1) Make sure your gas is hooked up, because if you have a gas water heater...you will not have hot water for several days...especially if you realize you don't have hot water on a Friday evening.

2) The phone company lies. They said our phone would be hooked up on a certain day, but called to say it would be a few days later. Our internet was supposed to be hooked up yesterday, but now we have to wait until the 12TH!!! UGH. I'm going crazy! Good thing the brand new library is finished!

3) Blinds are an awesome luxury. Right now we have bed sheets tacked up to our windows. WE ordered one set of blinds for our bedroom which arrived yesterday, and hopefully we'll get the rest of the house ordered next week. WE wanted to make sure we liked the ones we ordered before we ordered the rest of the house.


4) Brinly is awesome
5) Chelsea is awesome...and loving swim lessons.
6)Michael is an awesomely huge handful! He likes swim lessons..when he goes...but we still love him. I'm thinking he's having issues due to the new baby, and a move..so I'm hoping to spend some more one-on-one time with him, or else neither of us will survive long. :)

I'm anxious to catch up on blogs to see what everyone has been up too, but until then, be good! See you on the 12th!
